What are “Demo Credentials”?

Modified on Fri, 16 Feb at 1:54 PM

Demo Credentials, sometimes referred to as Test Credentials or Mock Credentials, serve as a preview tool, allowing you to visualize and review the final appearance and functionality of a credential before the actual issuance. These credentials are for testing purposes only; they are not valid standards-compliant credentials.

Once you have finished designing your credential, click “Issue”.

If you do not have any credentials in your account, you’ll be presented with an option to issue free demo credentials (see screenshot).

If you already have credentials, clicking "Issue" will automatically display desktop and mobile previews of your credentials. You can then click "Issue X demo credentials" to obtain a public link for sharing and approval.

Benefits of Using Demo Credentials:

  • Unlimited Issuing for Free: You can issue as many demo credentials as you need—cost-free.

  • Gather Feedback: Use them to gather feedback internally from your team or stakeholders.

  • Fine-tune Details: Adjust and perfect design elements based on the previews.

  • Ensure Accuracy: Ensure all information is accurate and presented as intended before issuing real credentials.

It's crucial to finalize all details in this phase. Once you issue the actual credentials, any modifications become impossible. Learn more here
